Hi, I’m Hayley.
By day, I’m a writer who wants to help campaign organisations, not-for-profits, and any purpose-driven brands, groups, or people create a deeper connection with their audience.
By night and most weekends, I’m a social creature who loves community - both my own and the cultivation of creating spaces that enable humans to flourish.
Fun fact. I don’t love the word marketing, even though it’s my job.
Marketing shouldn’t give you the ick.
When done correctly, it’s a natural process of showing the benefit you provide and helping a reader decide you are the right person to help them.
No one regrets a purchase that positively shifted their life.
But timed offers, buy now, and the world of targeted ads have muddled marketing.
Instead, I like to find the words that sound like you. Words that hit the right note to a reader that was destined to find you and your work. Why? Because that connection ignites a longer-lasting bond with you.

I’ve been freelance since 2021, helping various organisations create content that connects - from SaaS startups and established brands to revered training institutes. I've been honing my digital marketing and content strategy skills by building content strategies from scratch and creating newsletters and case studies for specific points within a funnel. SaaS marketing strategies are built on understanding audiences, knowing the answers to problems that readers have and showing how their solutions solve these.
Don’t get me wrong, a good SaaS business is still a great challenge, but I love a cause looking to change a corner of the world. I love it when people are starting out with a content plan. I love to share the knowledge I’ve built in the digital space and share the insider knowledge with people who don’t have time to train in SEO, email marketing, or any other content area that doesn’t excite them.
The approach to digital content will be different to a SaaS business, but the drive is the same.

A little about me, personally.
I am inspired by anyone who tries to put good out into the world, in whatever shape or size.
My own way of trying to put some good out there is through my love of football. I know the power of sport to change lives and create impact, and I spend my free time following my team, Fulham, and helping the community built around the club as a board member of the Fulham Supporters’ Trust and a co-founder of a female supporter group, the Fulham Lillies.
I’ve been fortunate to find my words in various outlets, including The Guardian, Matador Network, Going and Hammy End. My Guardian article was published in full in the book Football, She Wrote.
